May’s Challenge Post: It’s almost the middle of the year, you haven’t bought a book yet and you are dying for the latest release. Give us your best sales pitch to convince the world you deserve that book.

Dear Book Fairy,
outlandish companion revised I have been a very good reader so far this year. I have only purchased 2 books and that was using gift card money from Christmas that I have so carefully saved. Because I have been so good, I hope that you will send me a copy of The Outlandish Companion (Revised and Updated): Companion to Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, Voyager, and Drums of Autumn. This is my all time favorite series and I think I deserve a treat for sticking to my book budget goal so well.

Your favorite bookworm,
Terri M.

So how are your reading goals coming along? If you are a #ShelfLove participant, have you been able to adhere to your Book Buying Ban or Budget? What book are you dying to buy, but have put off? Add your post to the link up below and don’t forget add your post to the year end giveaway as well!

    • Well, I do have an anniversary, my birthday and Christmas between now and January 1st so there is still a chance the Book Fairy will visit me.

  1. Reading Wench

I say you should buy it because you know it’s a book you’ll never get rid of, and it will be a great addition to your personal library 🙂

    • What a great reason to buy it! I can use it as a reference book for all my friends who have not read the book, but are watching the series!

  3. Please buy the book! You have been very, VERY good all year. WAYYY better than me 😉 You deserve it, especially since it is your favorite series!

I just called the Book Fairy to check, and yep, she said you need to buy it. The Book Fairy has spoken, off you go to the bookstore now.

    • Well, the Book Fairy was very nice to chat with you, Shannon! Once I’m feeling better, I might just venture to the bookstore.

  4. I totally feel like you deserve that book…particularly if you’ve only bought 2 this year?! WOAH YOU HAVE CONTROL.

  5. You are doing better than me… Though, I am sticking to my goals! I’ve at least halved my book buying this year.

    • Half is nothing to laugh at! Congratulations!!
