Sometimes I have to take summer trips alone and 2010 was just such an occasion. Jay had gotten a new job that spring and didn’t have enough PTO saved to leave for an extended period of time. So I traveled to Lampasas, Texas to see one of my aunts.

While I was there, she arranged for me to ride horse. Her boss owned a couple of them. So this is the horse I rode. Its name? The Horse With No Name. That’s right. The horse did not have a name and Lampasas is pretty dry in July. And yes, I hum that song by America every time I look at these pictures.

The world is indeed comic, but the joke is on mankind.

    • I do own a horse and board her about 3 miles from my home. I ride once or twice a week depending on my work schedule.
