What are the most important lessons you’ve learned in your life by Patti Larsen Life lessons can come in the oddest shapes and sizes, at the least expected times and with the whisper of a gift or the thunder stroke of the Universe taking the snow globe of your existence and giving it a hearty shake. I’ve experienced all of the above. Have been stubborn enough to ignore road signs and guidance and finally forced into change, but I’ve happily learned from every single shift. Lesson #1: I am good enough. As a writer, as a person, as a woman, as a friend and family member. My efforts are exactly what are required at any given time. Lesson #2: Saying no doesn’t mean the world will end. In fact, saying no when it feels right can actually make things better. I’ve had to learn to say it, choked on it a few times around guilt and fear, but ultimately spoke my truth and was stronger for it. Lesson #3: Saying thank you and not qualifying with an excuse.
