IT’S TIME! Put away your wallet. Charge up that e-Reader. Dust off those bookshelves. Join Rose, Julie and Lynn from ChapterBreak.net and I in reading the books you already own. Think you can do it? Don’t think you can do it? Why not rise up to our challenge and join in on the fun! No books for a year?! The goal of this challenge is simple — for one year abstain from buying books (or set a monthly book budget) — and focus on clearing physical and virtual to-be-read book shelves. This challenge begins Jan 1, 2015 and ends Dec 31, 2015. What’s the point? To read as many books as you can that you already own, either on your physical bookshelf or on your e-reader. Today I’m happy to welcome Iain Reading, author of the Kitty Hawk Flying Detective Agency series. Before we jump into the interview, here’s a bit about Kitty and her detective agency. There are currently five books in the Kitty Hawk Flying Detective Agency Series: Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold (book 1), Kitty Hawk and the Hunt for Hemingway’s Ghost (book 2), Kitty Hawk and the Icelandic Intrigue (book 3), and Kitty Hawk and the Tragedy of the RMS Titanic (book 4), and Kitty Hawk and the Mystery of the Masterpieces (book 5). Each book can be read as a standalone. “In the Kitty Hawk Flying Detective Agency Series the heroine finds herself in a new geographic location in each book. The series will eventually have a total of 13 books in it (maybe more) and her flight around the world will be completed in the end,” says Iain. “The books are sequential but one could definitely read any of the later ones before reading the earlier ones.” In the Spotlight Iain Reading Welcome to Second Run Reviews, Iain! Thank you for being In the Spotlight. I appreciate you stopping by and answering a few questions. […]

Lover of books; mystery and suspense are my favs, and movies (love horror). Well, I need to be better with my research. If I had known you were from Canada, I would have loaded this interview with travel advice since I’m venturing to Canada soon for my summer trip. But since I apparently need to improve upon my research skills, I’ll move on to the next question I have prepared. Please share your journey to becoming an author. What keeps you going? My journey probably started when I wrote […]
