Back in October, I made a list of the Top 10 Things I Geek Out About. The Seed Queen, who is a big supporter of Second Run Reviews and knows me well, promptly pointed out in comments that I missed one thing…Straight No Chaser.

It’s no secret to those close to me that I am a huge SNC fan. I am an official Chaser and have gotten others addicted to this a cappella group that has roots in the midwest. I’ve been to their concerts in Kansas City, Des Moines (twice), Davenport (twice), Cedar Rapids, and Cedar Falls. So let’s see…that’s 7 concerts, but should be 8, but I was stuck in Minneapolis when they visited the University of Iowa. So I’m just a tiny bit obsessed.

We’ve had pretty decent seats at all their concerts. And because social media has played a big part in their discovery and record contract, they don’t mind if you take pictures and videos and post them. Here are a few of the shots I’ve snapped…some of them are good, some of them not so much!

And for me, their Christmas albums really put me in the right mood. And so my dear fans, I present you with “The Twelve Days of Christmas” ala Straight No Chaser.

So are you a Chaser? What is your favorite holiday song? Do you prefer traditional holiday songs or modern ones?

The 12 Days of Christmas and Here We Come a Wassailing have always been my least favorite Christmas songs. This version of 12 Days has surprisingly become one of my favorite Christmas song. The humor helps it A LOT. *grins*
