Step 1: Select Your Goal
My Goal: 31-40 books: regular date night with your shelves

I average 50 to 60 books in a year. I can do this. I’m just leaving a bit of breathing room for review copies and gifts that I might receive.

Step 2: Join the Mailing List

Done. Send me mail. Send me encouragement. I can do this.

Step 3: Share the Love

I’m sure you’ve guessed it by now, this is my “I’m joining up!” post. I hope you’ll join in the fun!

Step 4: Display a Challenge Button

Now that this post is live, I’ll be adding a button to my sidebar.

Step 5: Start Planning and Start Reading

Oh, just you wait, my lovely fans. I’ll have some great pictures to share in next month’s discussion post!

So are you in? Will you be joining Second Run Reviews and ChapterBreak in the Show Your Shelf Some Love, No Book Buying Challenge? Get the details and join us today. You know you want to!

well we posted our introducing the challenge post, I suppose we should get a goals post up too huh?

  2. Hahahaha, I should probably do this as well since I usually end up buying new books instead of reading once I have on my shelves.
    Good luck, Terri!

  3. I think I just wouldn’t be able to not buy any new books, Terri, eve if it would definitely be good for me.
It’s a great challenge, though, and I’ll keep it in mind as we close in on 2015 🙂

    • I’m pretty certain I won’t get through the WHOLE year without buying books. I’ll be hoarding gift cards and using my cash back rewards on my credit card to buy books that I REALLY want. Or begging for books for holidays and my birthday. But I’m looking forward to tackling my TBR shelves. I think there are some goodies I have forgotten about. What will be tricky will be if I bought a book that is part of a series and the next book it out. I think my library will be seeing me a lot this next year and there is nothing wrong with that, right?!

      • The forgotten goodies I already own are partly why I have signed up for the Reading Assignment Challenge for 2015 🙂 I have made a list of 48 books I already own that I shall read in 2015.
And going to the library is great!

  4. I’m sure my shelves would thank me if I signed-up to this challenge, however I just can’t commit myself to not buying any books. I realize that I have a problem, but my guilty pleasures are so few that this is one I refuse to give-up. Good luck with your goals!
