I don’t have much to say this weekend. I started getting sick again this week. Now instead of being stuffed up, I have a hacking cough. This being sick or injured thing is getting a little old. I just want to stay well for more than a few days! Please, please, let that happen soon.

What are tips and tricks to staying well? When you are sick, how do you keep a happy mindset?

Taken in July 2015 at Niagara Falls with a Canon Rebel T3i.

There are no happy endings.
Endings are the saddest part,
So just give me a happy middle
And a very happy start.

  1. As someone who catches everything, my best ‘tip’ is staying locked away from everyone. Unfortunately, that’s not possible, so lots of juice, zinc, and vitamin c helps. Here’s hoping you feel better by ICON, can’t wait to hangout with you!

    • I can’t wait for ICON either! Perhaps that is why I’m so bummed about being sick again. I’ve been downing tea laced with honey today and I hate the taste of honey. Either I’m getting better or the natural healing power of honey is helping as a cough suppressant. One of my friends posted a recipe for Hot Toddies. Apparently they have scientifically proven to work.

  2. Aw, I am so sorry you’re sick 🙁 I hope you feel better VERY soon. I have very few tips, as I am generally a very cranky sick person. NyQuil, I guess. Just knock yourself out until it passes, basically 😉

The picture is SO CUTE. I love that guy (or gal, as the case may be)! As as much as Shel’s quote bums me out, it is SO true. Lovely, as always!! Feel better!

    • Since they took the good NyQuil off the market here in Iowa due to an increase in meth production, I haven’t slept well while sick since that point. Today one of my friend’s posted a recipe for hot toddies to my FB wall. Apparently there is some science behind their effectiveness.
