I’ve been struggling all week with what to write for this week’s Scenic Sunday. Work has been rough. I was sick. I’m just not feeling creative or inspired. And then I took some pictures.

I will admit that I wasn’t inspired to take this photo. It was part of my homework for the Book Blogging Bootcamp, but as the day went on I decided that what I really want right now is more time. More time to pursue my passions. More time to sleep. More time to read. More time to go horseback riding. More time to spend with my family. And while I was thinking about this desire for more time, I finished one time travel novel and jumped right into another. Then I remembered that we turned the clocks ahead this weekend. And the dread hit me.

I adjust to daylight savings so horribly. Mess with my sleep schedule and become the cranky monster from hell. So bear with me this week folks not even the best coffee in the world will help me until I adjust to having “less” sleep.

“I’ve just sucked one year of your life away. I might one day go as high as five, but I really don’t know what that would do to you. So, let’s just start with what we have. What did this do to you? Tell me. And remember, this is for posterity so be honest. How do you feel?”

Watching daylight savings wreak havoc on my three kids as well as my husband and me, I sometimes wonder if it is just some cruel joke. I liked getting up with the sunrise, now it is pitch black again. *frowns*
