In the Spotlight with Wren McCabe
Welcome to Second Run Reviews, Wren! Thank you for being In the Spotlight. I appreciate you stopping by and answering a few questions. So let’s get things started.
In a tweet (140 characters or less), tell us a bit about yourself.
#Author #MC #Contemporary. Lives in #Northern States #USA. 2 daughters, grandkids and lives with her 2 dogs.
Please tell a bit about your journey to becoming a published author. What’s been the best things about it and the worst?
Writing for 10 years. The best thing is meeting all the wonderful people who are supportive and help an author get their stories out there.
Worst is the hard work of writing the story and having people call it a hobby.
Tell us a bit about your latest release. What inspired you to write it? Why should fans of Second Run Reviews consider reading it.
Steel MC Series—Encased in Steel—Titan ‘Steel’ Malone Retired Ranger SSG comes home to find he owns a Motorcycle Club and a locker full of Gold bars. Delaney O’Riley, mother of three children has nowhere to go. Knowing Steel from her Army days she finds a home with him among the MC. Tragic struck her when she lost her husband, Steel’s best friend and squad number two leader. The two of them alone and in grief over losing their friend finds they can’t resist each other.
What inspired me to write the book is I come from a strong Army family background. I suffer from PTSD as well as have seen several of my friends and family members come home from a war or conflict with the same kind of disorder. Writing this story was a personal journey and that of the journey of my dear friend whom I’ve dedicated this first book to.
What types of books do you enjoy reading the most? What three books to you find yourself recommending to your fans over and over?
My favorite books are MC Romance, Paranormal are my second favorite and everything else after.
What is your current obsession? Any secret obsessions you would like to share?
My current obsession is menage MC stories. Love them.
What is one question you wish I would have asked, that I haven’t?
What can you tell your readers about your type of stories?
I would tell them I write Contemporary real life stories. My characters are broken usually with mental illness or some other related problem. At the end of the book they are not completely fixed but are with someone to help them grow.
Any last thoughts or wise words you want to pass along?
Stay true to your soul and heart writing what you love.
Thank you for being In the Spotlight, Wren. Good luck on your upcoming release, Roadkill, with author, Michel Prince. I hope you’ll come back soon and share information about that book!
