The Krakow Klub by Philip Elrod | In the Spotlight Book Excerpt

The Krakow Klub by Philip Elrod | In the Spotlight Book Excerpt

Book ExcerptThe Krakow Klub by Philip Elrod   Praise for The Krakow Klub “In this novel of power and its addiction, only the steadfast can walk this devious and treacherous path. The one who gives in to the power will be lost forever in its long maze. The Krakow Klub by Philip C. Elrod was very mesmerizing. It is actually quite scary because I can see something like that happening in the future. No one is safe from the lure of power and the Krakow Club brings this unsavory thought to the forefront. The rich always have influence and that influence brings power. If misused, it can be terrifying. And this is exactly what this novel is … terrifyingly good!”Reviewed By Rabia Tanveer for Readers’ Favorite “A thoroughly thrilling read, The Krakow Klub depicts a world that may not be all that far away.” Reviewed by Red City Review   The Overview Synopsis: The story of one man’s attempt to live a normal life, even though he is not normal. The United States government is under siege. A secretive cabal of super rich elitists, The Krakow Klub, has initiated the final phase of its long-range plan to take over the […]

Gregory Frost, author | In the Spotlight Interview

Today we welcome long-time author Gregory Frost to In the Spotlight. Over his 30+ year career, Gregory has written everything from fantasy and science fiction to historical thrillers. His stories appeal to adults as well as kids. I’m excited to Gregory here at Second Run Reviews this week and it was an honor to meet him at ICON 40 earlier this fall.   In the Spotlight with Gregory Frost Welcome to Second Run Reviews, Gregory! Thank you for being In the Spotlight. I appreciate you stopping by and answering a few questions. So let’s get things started. In a tweet (140 characters or less), tell us a bit about yourself.   I’m a fabulist, have been publishing fiction long and short for 30+ years across the spectrum: Shadowbridge books, Fitcher’s Brides, et. al.    Please tell a bit about your journey to becoming a published author. What’s been the best things about it and the worst?     It wasn’t a direct journey. More like a paradigm shift. I went from majoring in art—believing I wanted to illustrate comics and graphic novels—to writing the sorts of stories and novels that someone else might make into comics and graphic novels. The best […]

Jeanbill, author | In the Spotlight Interview

Jeanbill, author | In the Spotlight Interview

Today historical fiction author Jeanbill steps In the Spotlight. His novel, Almost a Millennium, was published in January 2015. Faridah Nassozi of Readers’ Favorite says, “Almost a Millennium by Jeanbill is a deeply compelling historical fiction novel. Although a work of fiction, the story is a depiction of England’s history and the power dynamics at the time. It is a richly detailed story and many times I found myself forgetting that I was reading a work of fiction as the historical events described felt very authentic. The setting of the story and the character development were simply amazing as we dived into Paul and Fred’s compelling background stories. Paul and Fred were two people so different and yet so alike. The pace of the story was set from the beginning and this held true to the very last page.”   In the Spotlight with Jeanbill Welcome to Second Run Reviews, Jeanbill! Thank you for being In the Spotlight. I appreciate you stopping by and answering a few questions. Tell us a bit about your books. Why should we consider reading them? Who is your target audience?    Almost a Millennium is an eclectic novel about the unlikely connection between an […]
