Book Review 110: Diary of a Teenage Time Traveler by P.K. Hrezo

I am a huge fan of time travel stories. I am a huge fan of the Butterman Travel series. I was not a fan of this short story which serves as a bit of introduction to Bianca and her world. This short story is just a collection of diary entries that don’t provide much more insight into Bianca’s world that isn’t already shared in book one and book two of the series. Outside of a couple short time travel adventures, there is no plot driving the story forward. It’s normal teenage problems (boys, clothes and fall outs with best friends). This short story does not do Bianca justice. I fell in love with her determination, strength and convictions when I read the full novels. I was hoping for more insight into Bianca, her family and their time traveling history. Instead I was “treated” to a series of teenage ramblings about difficulties with teenage boys which provided no added value to the Butterman series as a whole.   The Quick Review       book review diary teenage time traveler pk hrezo Twitter 2 Facebook 0 Google+ 0 Pinterest 0 StumbleUpon 0

Excerpt + Giveaway: Induction Day by P.K. Hrezo

My Rating: Thumbs Up From My Review With just enough spunk and ingenuity, Bianca Butterman waltzed into my life and captured my imagination. With her obsession of the Titanic I knew I had found next book girlfriend. I wanted to know more about Bianca, become her best friend and travel through time with her. Brisk air meets my cheeks and nose, as well as a salty freshness, and dark, easy waves extend as far as my vision goes. But it’s the sky that captures my breath. Clear, crisp and moonless, with so many stars—winking, as if speaking with each other in some secret celestial code. A warning, maybe? Over my eighteen years of life I’ve heard the adage “the calm before the storm,” more times than I can count, but right here, right now, the potency of those words descends on my chest with a vengeance, heavy and iron-hard. Only a few hours now. Before this entire vessel assumes its place in history and […]

Book Review #47 + Giveaway: Butterman Travel Series by P.K. Hrezo

My Series Rating: Thumbs Up Visit the Other Tour Stops               Tour sponsored by CBB Book Promotions   I’m completely stunned by the Butterman Travel series. I love time travel. I’ve loved time travel since the first few 100 pages of Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander. I’ve been looking for lighter, shorter fixes for my time travel addiction and while I’ve found some suitable fixes they are usually a bit deeper and male-focused than I’m looking for. I believe I finally found what was I was looking for with the Butterman Travel series by P.K. Hrezo. With just enough spunk and ingenuity, Bianca Butterman waltzed into my life and captured my imagination. With her obsession of the Titanic I knew I had found next book girlfriend. I wanted to know more about Bianca, become her best friend and travel through time with her. I wanted to help her figure out Garth’s next move and hold Tristan down while she kicked his ass. One of my favorite things about the time travel in the series is that it doesn’t get too bogged down in the science. It’s there and it certainly plays a part in the […]
